Facebook homework (holiday)

Hi, everyone! Today, I would like to tell you about one of Japanese holidays, Labor Thanksgiving Day.

The day is November 23rd and was enacted in 1948. The day has originated from the Niname Festival which is a ceremony that the Emperor offers new rice to the gods of heaven and earth and eats the new rice. The day is a national holiday which people appreciate their labor and the year's production. On the day, kids often give handmade gifts to their parents who are always working hard.

  1. Hi Rintaro...

Why are you posting Facebook comments here? You can read the Facebook page, but cannot make comments?

Anyway, do you or anyone in your family do something special on "Labor Thanksgiving Day"?
